Barbara A. Mason, is an Organizational Development specialist with a focus on the Strategic Development of Talent and Teams. Mason Consulting intentionally designs team development   initiatives and interventions to help organizations align their daily efforts with strategic outcomes.   Barbara's 20+ years of experience in corporate, academia, and training enables her to integrate theory, practice and results - into one cohesive package. Barbara has designed and facilitated numerous programs across multiple industries: Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical, Academia, Agriculture, Financial Services , Manufacturing and Field Sales Teams.

Barbara is a senior level Licensed Practitioner for the extensive global suite of Insight Discovery’s’ Learning & Development Solutions. The Mason Consulting Group also partners and consults with the Center for Creative Leadership utilizing an assortment of their assessment tools & research. Barbara holds an Executive Business Coaching credential from NC State University & her PCC credential from the International Coaching Federation. Barbara’s background and interest in Strategic Alignment, Talent Development and Adult Learning all serve her well as she finds custom solutions for each client she serves. She works with a variety of tools including but limited to: DiSC, Crucial Conversations, Difficult Conversations, PIs Situational Leadership etc.                                            

Barbara's professional background includes a Global MSc from the London School of Economics, an MBA with a concentration in Management and Economics, and a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Barbara started her corporate career with Johnson & Johnson, crossing into academia as a Business Instructor being selected to serve as a Fulbright Exchange Business Instructor to the UK. Returning from abroad, she moved back to the corporate sector as the International Training Project Manager for SeaLand.  Soon after she took on a Vice President role in T&D at Credit Suisses DLJ Direct division in Charlotte NC.

Mason Consulting was established in 2004 and is based in the Research Triangle area of NC. Dr. Chip Mason an adjunct Consultant currently serves as the Dean of a Business School for a University in the  Southern United States. With over 20 years experience in Leadership, Management, and Organizational Behavior, Dr. Mason has designed and taught multiple graduate level courses in team dynamics, coaching , mentoring, conflict resolution, and leadership development. He earned his Ph.D. from University of North Carolina –Chapel Hill and did his undergraduate work at Duke University in Economics.

Dr. Mason also currently serves on the Board of Directors for the International Accreditation Council of Business Education, which accredits over 200 Business schools in 45 States and over 20 foreign countries. He has served as a consultant to Business schools in Latin America and Asia, as well as numerous schools in the United States on how to produce the talent required by today’s global employers. In 2016 he was awarded the John L. Green Award for Excellence in Business Education. Dr. Mason has provided training for corporate clients including BASF and Raytheon in leadership development and team building. His research interests include emotional intelligence, and building organizational culture and synergy in today’s inter-generational workplace.
